Paris Jeweler will host a Herend Artist Event on Saturday, October 29, 2005, following a cocktail party for Herend collectors on Friday, October 28. Artist Tamás Vecsey from the world famous Manufactory in Herend, Hungary will be the guest of honor at both events. Paris Jeweler is one of twelve retail stores throughout the country selected to host this event, sponsored by Martin’s Herend Imports, Inc., exclusive U.S. importer and distributor of Herend porcelain. Collectors of this exquisite hand painted porcelain will have the chance to meet artist Tamás Vecsey who will celebrate his seventh appearance in the U.S. on behalf of Herend. Shoppers will be able to observe how their favorite pieces are created first-hand, and purchase special pieces rarely available in the U.S. The 36-year-old Mr. Vecsey will demonstrate hand-painting techniques used to decorate Herend porcelain, and sign Herend purchases. The Herend name is synonymous with superior quality hand painted porcelain, which has been handcrafted in the village of Herend, Hungary since 1826.
